Printing

I. Silkscreen Printing

Silkscreen printing involves pressing ink through a mesh stencil, color by color, to create a crisp print for each shade in your design. As a result, the cost of silkscreen printing increases with the number of colors in your design, since more mesh stencils are required.

It is recommended for designs featuring a smaller number of colors.

II. Direct To Film (DTF)

Designs are printed onto a film and transferred to the fabric using a heat press machine. This technology has advanced tremendously over the years, resulting in prints that are durable and vibrant. DTF can handle prints with multiple colours, tones and shades.

III. Direct To Garment (DTG)

The direct-to-garment printing method utilises an ink-jet printing technology to transfer the designs of your choice to the fabric. Likened to ink-jet printing on a piece of paper, the method applies ink straight to the fabric.

It is ideal for printing designs that consist of colour gradients, or simply any artwork that contains many colours. This printing method also allows the fabric to be kept as comfortable as in its original state, allowing for optimal satisfaction of the wearer.

IV. Dye Sublimation

Dye-sublimation or digital sublimation is a digital printing technology using full colour artwork that works with polyester or polymer-coated fabrics. Our printing process uses the science of sublimation in which heat and pressure are applied to a solid, turning it into a gas without passing through the liquid phase. The sublimation printing method is one that directly applies dye to the fabric, enhancing its durability and does not affect the comfort of the wearer.

V. Embroidery

At Kosmos we also provide embroidery services to our printing methodology, typically for logos on T-shirts, polo tees and jerseys. The embroidery process includes digitally stitching the customised design onto the fabric to ensure uniformed and lasting quality for the piece of clothing. It is one of the most durable printing methods available.

VI. Vinyl Transfer

The vinyl transfer printing method, more frequently known as decal printing, is where a design is printed on a substrate (typically plastic, cloth or paper) and then transferred onto the fabric. This printing method is efficient for non-complicated designs without intricate details.

At Kosmos, vinyl transfer allows individual names and numbers to be customised, for example, if required.
